The YWCA of New Orleans is a non-profit organization located on Jefferson Davis Parkway. After being badly damaged during Hurricane Katrina, this multi-building facility is now being redesigned into one consolidated structure.
Trapolin-Peer Architects worked closely with YWCA New Orleans to identify their programmatic needs and consider carefully their funding constraints. The design includes a Women’s Center for counseling and community support, administrative offices, and a Head Start educational center.
After many years of preparation, YWCA New Orleans is in the final stages of a fund development phase to include a capital campaign. By supporting the YWCA in visioning a new facility, TPA is helping to once again create a space where women can come in times of crisis to learn how to empower themselves economically, socially, and emotionally.
